Buffers
Buffers
or Bump Stops are designed as deceleration devices to protect
structures and equipment from impact forces. Buffers can be used,
for example, as a resilient stop providing progressive stiffening to a
suspension system under load.
Vibration Isolation Products offer a large standard range of buffers.
These
range from straight forward bobbin types with different combinations
through to rectangular buffers, 'Aeon' Type Springaid Buffers and
standard bump stops.
For new or non-standard designs and applications, VIP buffers can be supplied based on customer drawings or individually designed to suit the customer’s static /
shock requirements.

Typical applications for buffer / bump stops include, 
industrial plant and automotive
applications, as well as for
impact protection such as bonnet, door /
gate-stops, closure stops, limit stop for oscillating machinery and cranes, feet
for sensitive equipment and vehicle collision protection.
